Problem 3: (common at large companies)
The computer administrator at your company prevents the connectivity between your computer and DCU.

 

Solution:
You can contact your computer administrator to talk about enabling DCU on your work computers. Computer security and protection is an increasing threat. Often many changes are made to your work computers that would not be noticed. Another solution is to take the test at home where you have control over the settings of you computer.

Problem 2: (Less Common)
You do not have Java enabled. In order for test or form submission to occur in html, you need to have the java plug-in enabled on your browser.

 

Solution:
Java can be enabled through Microsoft JVM in IE or Sun Java. Microsoft JVM can be enabled by checking all 3 checkboxes under "Microsoft VM" in the advanced, internet options menu of Internet Explorer. Also, under the security settings in the internet options make sure, "scripting of java applets" is also enabled. The Sun java plug-in can be downloaded from
www.java.com. Only one plug-in should be enabled at a time.

Problem 1: (Most Common)
You have a pop-up blocker installed. This will prevent the test from initializing. Pop-up blocker is a default feature of Windows XP service Pack 2.

 

Solution:
Turn-off your pop-up blocker while participating in DCU.

Remember: You will need your "User Name" and "Password" to access DCU. You can get this information from either your store manager, your local Dynamat Sales Representative or contact us at (513) 860-5094.

Our DCU Certification is now compatible with AOL 9.0.   If you are experiencing any difficulties, you can upgrade to AOL 9.0.   Another solution is to simply login to AOL as you usually do, then use Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser to reach our site. Please feel free to participate in DCU - however due to shipping limitations, we are unable to offer DCU Certificates and T-Shirts outside the United States.   The local distributors provides the T- shirt and certificate.   For more information, please contact your local International Distributor or contact us at international@dynamat.com.

First time users PLEASE READ the following required and recommended settings for an optimal DCU experience.

 

Computer Settings:

        800 x 600 screen resolution or higher

        Speakers or headphones

 

Browser Settings:

        Microsoft Internet Explorer Recommended

        Pop-Up Blocker OFF - REQUIRED

        Java Enabled - REQUIRED
