No. With proper installation Dynamat does not generate, contain or promote increased heat in your computer. During installation, make sure that the Dynamat does not block ventilation holes to ensure proper operation and the greatest noise reduction.

No, if the Dynamat is installed properly. However, Dynamat Xtreme's constraining layer is a 4 mil thick sheet of aluminum, which can conduct electricity. Can I install Dynamat anywhere else in the computer besides the case?
Yes. You can install Dynamat Xtreme on the CD-ROM case cover, floppy drive cover, the internal power supply (make sure not to cover any ventilation holes) and even the top cover of the hard drive. Whenever you apply Dynamat to internal components, make sure not to cover any circuitry, ventilation holes or diagrams. Will the Dynamat Xtreme Computer Kit work if installed on the outside of the computer case?
Yes. You can install Dynamat Xtreme on the outside of the computer case for noise reduction. Doing so is a good solution if you do not want to open the case for fear of voiding your computer's warranty--and you get the added benefit of seeing Dynamat's cool logos! Note that you should not apply Dynamat Xtreme to the outside bottom of the computer case. Dynamat Xtreme's visco-elastic damping material is extremely sticky and can adhere to your carpet or floor, from which it is hard to remove.
