Dynamat is synonymous with quiet, quality and
comfort. Dynamat is a thin, flexible, easy-to-cut-and-mold material that stops
noise-causing resonance and vibration. Dynamat's visco-elastic qualities promote
vibro-acoustic energy conversion. In short, Dynamat turns noise into silent
energy. You can apply Dynamat in patches (25-50% area coverage) to keep a
specific panel from resonating or you can apply it over an entire area (such as
the floor, doors or trunk of a car) to create a sound barrier and thermal
insulator.
Dynamat is unique among thermal energy control
materials. Other products are too thick, too expensive or too prone to attract
and absorb water. Used alone, Dynamat makes an incredible difference. For even
better results, add layers of Dynamic Control's TacMat or Dynaliner products.
Dynamat combined with Extremeliner stops heat via a system using Random
Path/Dissimilar Strata Heat Sink (RP/DSHS) technology. Such a system confuses
the flow of energy and is highly effective without thick pads that keep your
car's trim and upholstery from fitting properly.
Dynamat is most effective at eliminating mid- to
high-frequency noise, by far the most irritating noises to humans (the squeaky
wheel gets the grease for a reason). Removing these noises immediately gives you
an improved audio environment. Your driving comfort increases--you'll even feel
fresher after a long trip. After a day at work, a quiet comfortable drive home
relaxes you from the stresses of the workplace. And, your car's stereo sounds
better when your speakers are mounted on a panel that has Dynamat applied. In
fact, you can now hear the quieter passages of music that your loud car was
covering up.
After applying Dynamat alone to your car, you may
hear some new sounds, sounds which were previously masked by the louder noises
now removed by Dynamat. The noise may be from a part or device unaffected by
your Dynamat application, or it may be noise at a frequency lower than can be
effectively handled by Dynamat. For example, the boom you hear when you hit a
freeway expansion joint is a low frequency noise that may be somewhat reduced by
Dynamat, but can only be adequately attenuated by other methods. Adding Dynamic
Control's Dynaliner or Extremeliner products, which are high-grade acoustic
foams, reduces these low frequency noises.
