Dynamat ProX is thick sound-deadening material by design: a 120-mil butyl core under a 5-mil aluminum constraining layer, 0.130 inches (3.30 mm) total, and a full 1.0 lb per square foot. That’s twice the mass of Dynamat Xtreme, which makes ProX the thickest sound-deadening mat in our line.Â
Independent third-party SAE J1637 testing measured Dynamat ProX at a 0.568 composite loss factor at 200 Hz, 238% above the industry average, exactly where low-frequency drone is hardest to control. On doors, floors, and trunk panels, that added mass tames vibration that lighter materials may leave behind.Â
